OUR HUMANITARIAN AID SUPPORTS THE SAFETY, DIGNITY, AND WELL-BEING OF REFUGEES & IMMIGRANTS IN THE U.S.-MÉXICO BORDER REGION.
Since 2018, we have provided hospitality services to migrants released from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security at the largest migrant shelters in southern New Mexico and west Texas. Since fall of 2021, we have welcomed more than 200,000 newly-arrived neighbors (and sheltered more than 150,000 guests) from more than 80 countries around the world with compassion, dignity, and respect.
At our Hospitality Centers, individuals and families have been welcomed, their basic needs (food, hygiene items, general wellness, etc.) met, and guests have received assistance with travel arrangements and transportation to transit stations to continue their journey to their final destination.
Additionally, until the ending of CBP One™ on January 20, 2025, BSC had operated the Port Reception Site for migrants entering the U.S. through the CBP One™ app (where USCIS had been co-located to assist with a portion of the work authorization process) and an Airport Reception Team to assist migrants from the entire El Paso Sector to navigate the airport on both sides of TSA.
All services provided to non-citizen migrants are free of charge. Together with our deeply committed community, we have ensured newly-arrived migrants are welcomed with dignity and respect.
